Role Description
The IT & Social Media Coordinator is a volunteer, part-time, remote board position. Using Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms, they will create engaging posts that cover a variety of topics including information about tournaments, interacting with alumni, and highlighting teams who attend the State Tournament and/or Global Finals. They will create schedules to allow for consistent posting throughout the Challenge Season and off season. This is a volunteer, part-time, remote board position that must attend quarterly virtual meetings and board meetings.
Qualifications
Strong writing and design skills across multiple mediums (photo, graphics, video, etc.)
Experience in social media marketing, advertising, or other equivalent.
Strong organizational skills, project management skills, and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar programs is a plus.
Must live in Virginia and be 18 years of age or older.
A Bachelor’s Degree is helpful, but not required.
A minimum of 5 years work experience is ideal.
Previous experience with or knowledge of Destination Imagination is a plus!

This role will develop fundraising events, maintain records of sponsors for outreach, and meeting with potential corporate sponsors.
