Role Description

The IT & Social Media Coordinator is a volunteer, part-time, remote board position. Using Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms, they will create engaging posts that cover a variety of topics including information about tournaments, interacting with alumni, and highlighting teams who attend the State Tournament and/or Global Finals. They will create schedules to allow for consistent posting throughout the Challenge Season and off season. This is a volunteer, part-time, remote board position that must attend quarterly virtual meetings and board meetings.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and design skills across multiple mediums (photo, graphics, video, etc.)

• Experience in social media marketing, advertising, or other equivalent. 

• Strong organizational skills, project management skills, and ability to work independently. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar programs is a plus.

• Must live in Virginia and be 18 years of age or older.

• A Bachelor’s Degree is helpful, but not required.

• A minimum of 5 years work experience is ideal. 

• Previous experience with or knowledge of Destination Imagination is a plus!

Role Description

The Fundraising/Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for connecting with corporate sponsors to underwrite our state tournament. This role will develop fundraising events, maintain records of sponsors for outreach, and meeting with potential corporate sponsors. This is a volunteer, part-time, remote role that must attend quarterly virtual meetings, in addition to meeting with corporate sponsors. 

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Experience in fundraising and event planning. 

• Schedule and attend meetings with corporate sponsors. 

• Strong organizational skills, project management skills, and ability to work independently. 

• Must live in Virginia and be 18 years of age or older.

Role Description

The Grant Researcher/Grant Writer will research, draft, and submit proposals to help DIVA obtain funding for state tournaments, global tournaments, assisting teams in costs, and providing for the DIVA community. • Experience in grant research/writing for a non-profit or equivalent.

• Must live in Virginia and be 18 years of age or older.

The Governance Committee Chair will serve on the DIVA Board. They will oversee the creation of bylaws, attend all board meetings to ensure these bylaws are adhered to, and update bylaws as needed. Experience in law or experience on a governance committee is required. This is a volunteer, part-time, remote board position that must attend quarterly virtual meetings and board meetings.

• Must live in Virginia and be 18 years of age or older.

The Regional Partnerships Coordinator will create relationships and partnerships with regional businesses, schools, programs and community members to expand our footprint throughout Virginia. This is a part-time, remote role that must attend quarterly virtual meetings. Can be located anywhere in Virginia.
