Meet team members Sarah, Kendall, Amber, Alex, Tyler, and Walker. One team member watched her brother participate from the time she was an infant, so she has truly grown up with DI. Our managers are a mother and sister of this same team member making this very much a family affair!

The winning solution for this second-year DI team features scientist and his assistant who are creating a pet-defurrer to remove the dander from animals so people will no longer be allergic. A rat from the lab escapes and chews the cord which causes the per-defurrer to explode. After some discussion and a chance experiment the scientist realizes this is a homework machine. A reporter puts the invention on television causing an argument between a mother and her 2 children about whether or not a homework machine is a good invention!

While all team members have found that DI challenges their creativity and builds lasting friendships and memories, one of Kendall's favorite moments of this year was when Sarah’s dog (a chocolate lab) ate the sound effect!
