These six kids have created an old-fashioned radio mystery broadcast from an undersea radio station, WSEA. In their mystery, Sherlock Fins, a famous, but bumbling, detective is trying to figure out who fried Freddy Fish. With the help of Codsin, a shrimp and Fins’ faithful sidekick, Sherlock bumbles his way through the case only to have Codsin admit to turning Freddy into a fish stick. The remaining cast provides key support to the radio drama. They represent a clam that serves as announcer and sound effects master, a shark who serves as a reporter, a field reporter crab and a jellyfish who is a room service boy and sound effects man. The radio show is complete with exciting cliffhangers and a commercial jingle for a new product called “Hook be Gone” which is guaranteed to “put you right at the top of the food chain!”

Team manager, Beverly Rakes says,”I wish that every child in every school got a chance to participate in DI. It’s great for the kids to take on a project that is so big, to plan and execute every step, to work through problems, to discover new or unusual solutions and to be able to present a product that is truly a part of themselves.”
